Replacing side or back glass? Add ceramic tint from InstaTints in the same visit.

Repair or replace? Hold a loonie to it.

Hold a one-dollar coin over the damage. That tells you most of what our technician will.

Likely a repair

Chip covered by the loonie, not in the driver’s direct line of sight, and no cracks running from it.

Likely a replacement

Damage bigger than the coin, a crack longer than 15 cm, or anything at the edge of the glass.

Questions car owners ask

Will my insurance pay for a new windshield? If your policy includes comprehensive coverage, glass damage is typically covered minus your deductible. Many insurers waive the deductible for chip repairs. We confirm with your insurer before any work starts.
How soon can I drive after a replacement?

Most vehicles are safe to drive about one hour after installation, once the urethane reaches safe drive-away strength. Your technician will give you the exact time for your glass and the day’s temperature.

Can you do mobile service in winter?

Yes. Below a certain temperature we use cold-weather adhesives or book you into a heated bay so the bond cures properly. Repairing chips before winter is the best way to stop them spreading.

Does my car need ADAS calibration?

If your windshield has a camera behind the rear-view mirror (lane-keep, auto braking, adaptive cruise), yes. The camera must be recalibrated after the glass is replaced, and we do it on the same visit.

Is it legal to drive with a cracked windshield in Ontario?

A crack that obstructs the driver’s view can get you ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act, and it can fail a safety inspection. Small chips outside the driver’s view are usually fine to fix at your convenience.

What warranty do you offer?

A lifetime warranty on workmanship, leaks and wind noise for as long as you own the vehicle. Glass manufacturer defects are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
