A new windshield moves your car’s eyes.
Lane-keep and auto-braking cameras recalibrated after every windshield we install, so your safety systems read the road correctly.

Your windshield is part of the system
Behind your rearview mirror, there’s probably a small camera looking through the windshield. It watches lane lines, brake lights and pedestrians, and it feeds that to your lane-keep, auto-braking and adaptive cruise systems.
Replace the windshield and that camera is lifted off and put back. Even a tiny change in its angle matters. Think of a laser pointer: tilt your wrist by a fraction of a degree and the dot on a wall across the room jumps by a metre. A camera aimed a hair off at the windshield can misjudge where the lane is, or how far away the car ahead is, by a lot more at highway distance.
Calibration tells the camera exactly where it is again, so it sees the road as the road really is.
Don’t guess with safety systems
Some vehicles warn you when something is wrong. Many don’t. That’s why we follow the required procedure instead of waiting for the dashboard to complain.
01
This is the big one. If your car has a forward camera, it needs recalibrating once the new glass is in.
02
Even for other repairs, the camera can lose its reference point.
03
A warning light or a “camera unavailable” message is worth taking seriously.
One thing worth knowing: some cars light up a warning when a camera is out of position, and many don’t. A car with no warning light can still be seeing the road slightly wrong. That’s why we recalibrate after every installation where it’s required, rather than waiting for the dashboard to complain.
Precision from start to finish
01
Each manufacturer has its own calibration procedure. We follow the one for your make and model.
02
The camera is realigned to its reference point, using the method your vehicle requires.
03
We confirm the system reads correctly before the car goes back to you.
04
Your lane-keep and auto-braking systems are doing the job they were built to do.
Then book a time. We’ll handle the rest.
More than just a replacement
If your windshield replacement needs calibration, it's part of the job. You don't get a surprise line item at the counter.
Certified technicians, and calibration done in our shops as part of the same visit as your replacement.
For as long as you own the vehicle.

GOOD TO KNOW
If it has lane-keep, auto-braking or adaptive cruise that uses a camera behind the windshield, yes, after a replacement. Tell us your year, make and model and we’ll confirm.
You could, but you would be trusting a safety system whose aim is unverified. A camera that’s slightly off can still seem to work normally, right up until the moment it matters.
No. A repair keeps your original glass in place, so the camera stays exactly where it was.
No. Each manufacturer sets its own procedure, which is why we follow the one for your specific make and model
