HOME / SERVICES / Side and Rear Glass
A broken window is an open door. We close it fast.
Door, quarter, rear and sunroof glass replaced at our five Ontario shops, usually the same day. Broken glass vacuumed out before you get your keys back.
Broken glass out. New glass in. No loose pieces left behind.
01 Usually replaced the same day

03 Glass cleaned out properly
Not every pane is repairable
a crack can hold. Side and rear windows are different. They are made of a single piece of tempered glass, built to break into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards.
That is a safety feature, and it’s also why there is nothing to repair. Once tempered glass is damaged, the whole pane lets go. So the real question is never “repair or replace?” It’s “how soon can you get me a new one?”
Four types of glass
Not every chip needs a new windshield. The size, depth and position of the damage all help determine what comes next.
01
Front and rear doors. If the glass dropped inside the door when it broke, we clear it out of the door cavity too, so it doesn’t rattle for months.
02
The small fixed windows beside the rear seat or behind the rear door. Easy to overlook, and a common spot for break-ins.
03
Including the defrost lines that clear your rear window in winter, so you can see out on the first cold morning.
04
Glass panels for factory and aftermarket sunroofs.
Every pane meets Transport Canada standards (CMVSS 205), on cars, SUVs, pickups and commercial fleets.
Protect the car
01
Heavy clear plastic and painter’s tape work. Rain and snow on your seats are the part that costs more later.
02
Ideally indoors or under cover.
03
If the glass fell into the door. It can grind the pieces into the mechanism.
04
Small glass bits blow into the vents.
Then book a time. We’ll handle the rest.
From quote to keys
Use the quote tool or call. Give us your vehicle and which window it is, and we'll confirm the glass.
Same-day and next-day slots at any of our five shops. Open Mon to Sat, 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sunday by appointment.
Old glass out, and the broken pieces vacuumed out of the cabin and the door, not just the top layer.
New glass goes in, then we check that the window moves smoothly and the defrost lines work.
Part of the replacement
Tempered glass breaks into hundreds of tiny cubes, and they get everywhere: seat seams, door pockets, the floor under the mats. We vacuum them out so you don’t find one in January.
One visit. Two jobs.
Replacing side or back glass? New glass comes in clear, and the rest of your car may not be. Add ceramic tint from InstaTints in the same visit, so you only make one trip.
Insurance
Most comprehensive policies cover glass damage. Give us your policy number and we deal with your insurer directly, from approval to billing.

GOOD TO KNOW
No. Tempered glass can’t be patched or filled, so the pane is replaced. The good news is that it’s a quicker job than a windshield.
Same-day in most cases. If we need to order glass for your vehicle, we’ll tell you when you book.
For a short trip, with the opening covered. But you’re exposed to weather, noise and theft, so book the earliest slot you can.
The replacement is the same. Glass damage from theft is often a comprehensive claim, and we deal with your insurer directly. Tell us when you book.
New glass arrives clear. If your other windows are tinted, add ceramic tint to your quote and we’ll do it in the same visit.
Lifetime warranty on workmanship and leaks, for as long as you own the vehicle.
